An outstanding inside scorer, who is almost unstoppable on the block with his right hand jump hook and his turnaround jump shot... works extremely hard on both sides of the floor and runs the court well... very active player who outworks his opponents... likes to draw contact with his defender to score or to draw a foul... possesses a good midrange jump shot and is a great from the line... has been named to three (!!!) 1st Team All-American Squads after completing the 2009-2010 season... Sanijay was a first-team selection to the 2010 State FarmĀ® Coaches' Division II All-American Team , selected by members of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), Division II Bulletin, and the Daktronics D-II All-American Team... The St. Louis, Missouri native was the South Central Region and MIAA Player of the Year, and led the MIAA in both scoring (21.7 ppg) and rebounding (9.5 rpg) this season... He was the only two-year player in school history to record more than 1,000 points and 500 rebounds, finishing with 1,214 points and 507 boards... He was selected to the NCAA South Central Region All-Tournament team after leading the tournament with 28.3 points per game...He played in the NABC Division II All-Star Game in Springfield, Massachusetts at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, earning MVP honors with 21 points... Central Missouri finished its season with a 27-4 record and won its first out-right MIAA title since 1984... They broke the MIAA record for wins (18-2) and tied the school record with 25 regular season victories.
